Primus: Set for Addicks switch
Portsmouth defender Linvoy Primus wants to return to old club Charlton on loan following injury.
The 34-year-old is close to a return to training after suffering a groin injury and would team up with the Addicks - where he began his career - once he is fully recovered.
But he insists his long-term goal is to force his way back into Harry Redknapp's plans at Pompey, with whom he signed a new one-year deal in the summer after a season out with a knee injury.
Primus has spent eight years at Fratton Park but has recently fallen down the central-defensive pecking order, behind the likes of Sol Campbell, Sylvain Distin, Younes Kaboul and Noe Pamarot.
His agent John Mac told The News: "Linvoy needs to get some games, so is looking to go to Charlton.
"He needs to get fit first and then we will sort something.
"The fact is he needs to play football and get 10 to 15 games under his belt.
"He still has a future at Pompey, though. This isn't the end for him.
"He played games in pre-season and is a part of things still."
In other Pompey news, Wigan are the latest club to have been linked with David Nugent, while Hull City are reportedly still on the trail of Djimi Traore.
