Neil Harris: Came off the bench to down Norwich
Norwich City's terrific run came to an end but Leeds also dropped points meaning the former now hold a two-point lead over the latter at the summit.
Elsewhere, Swindon were denied at the death against third-placed Charlton while Oldham overcame fellow strugglers Tranmere.
Millwall inflicted an impressive defeat on Norwich, who had not lost in the league since 19th October, as they came from a goal down to record a 2-1 victory.
Luciano Becchio bagged a brace for Leeds United but a 90th minute goal from Hartlepool's Antony Sweeney denied the promotion hopefuls as the encounter dramatically finished 2-2.
Swindon looked to be heading for a significant win against Charlton, only for Nicky Bailey to score a leveller in the third minute of injury time.
Oldham notched a first win in five attempts as Pawel Abbot's goal just before half-time handed them a priceless success against fellow strugglers Tranmere at Prenton Park.
