Hoolahan: Opener at Carrow Road
It was another weekend to savour for Norwich City as they extended their lead at the top of League One to seven points on Saturday afternoon.
Paul Lambert's Canaries thumped Yeovil 3-0, while second-placed Leeds could only muster a 1-1 draw at home to struggling Brentford.
Charlton closed the gap on Simon Grayson's men to just two points after they saw off bottom-club Stockport 2-0 at The Valley.
Swindon's automatic promotion hopes suffered a huge setback however, the Robins crushed 4-0 at home by near-neighbours Bristol Rovers.
Millwall left it late, but the point gained at Walsall sees them leapfrog Huddersfield into the top six after the 10-man Terriers slumped 2-0 at Gillingham.
MK Dons remain in the play-off hunt following a 1-0 victory over Leyton Orient, however Southampton's hopes look all but over after they lost at Tranmere.
At the bottom end of the table, Southend slipped into the relegation zone following a 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool, with Oldham moving out of the bottom four following a 1-1 draw at fellow strugglers Exeter.
Elsewhere, Wycombe and Carlisle played out a goalless draw at Adams Park.
Goals from Wes Hoolahan, Grant Holt and Chris Martin saw Norwich power to their 14th home victory of the campaign against Yeovil at Carrow Road.
The win was made all the sweeter for Norwich fans following the news that Leeds, who equalised through Jermaine Beckford's 25th goal of the season, were held at home to Brentford.
Phil Parkinson's Charlton are now breathing down the necks of second-placed Leeds after recording a routine 2-0 victory over Stockport. An own goal from Paul Huntingdon and Akpo Sodje's third goal in three sealed the win for the Addicks.
One of the shock results of the day came at the County Ground after Danny Wilson's Swindon were put to the sword by play-off chasing Bristol Rovers.
The Pirates, who last scored an away goal back in November, led 3-0 at half-time courtesy of goals from Jo Kuffour, Paul Heffernan and Chris Lines before Jeff Hughes sealed the rout.
10-man Huddersfield missed the chance to move above Swindon into fifth place after they were stunned 2-0 by Gillingham - Simeon Jackson bagging a brace for the Gills as Nathan Eccleston saw red.
Millwall's 2-2 draw at Walsall puts them above Huddersfield into sixth, however the Lions looked destined for defeat until Alan Dunne popped up in injury-time.
Paul Ince's MK Dons now sit seven points off the play-off places after Mark Carrington continued his scoring run to see off Leyton Orient.
Southampton's late charge towards the top six was derailed at Prenton Park after Ian Thomas Moore's late penalty handed Tranmere a valuable 2-1 win.
It was another weekend to forget for Southend who dropped into the relegation zone following a 3-0 reverse at Hartlepool for whom Sunderland loanee Roy O'Donovan bagged a hat-trick on his home debut.
Oldham crept out of the bottom three with the point gained at Exeter, while Wycombe remain deep in relegation trouble after sharing a 0-0 draw with Carlisle.
