Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are chasing Dagenham & Redbridge defender Romain Vincelot.

Vincelot has impressed at Dagenham since arriving at the club in January after leaving French side Gueugnon.

The 24-year-old, who signed an 18-month contract with the League Two hopefuls, has made eight appearances and scored one goal during his time at the club.

Vincelot's performances at Victoria Road have alerted clubs higher up the football pyramid to his talents.

Championship side Blackpool and League One outfit Charlton are both believed to have watched the full-back in action and are keeping tabs on his progress.

A number of other clubs, including Brighton, Brentford, Walsall and Leyton Orient are also thought to be tracking Vincelot.

Menzo Messaoudi, director of Vincelot's representative, Premier Pro, has confirmed a number of clubs are interested in the Frenchman and that he plans to hold talks with Daggers boss John Still about Vincelot's future, after Sunday's play-off first leg at home to Morecambe, live on Sky Sports 1.

"I will be sitting down with the Dagenham manager after the play-offs, to discuss Romain's future," Messaoudi told skysports.com.

"Romain has done very well at Dagenham and there are a number of clubs watching him and tracking his progress.

"Romain has never hidden his ambition to play at the highest level possible, and would love the chance to. We will see what develops this summer."
