Boss John Sheridan believes Chesterfield's next game against league leaders Charlton will be a good test for his side.
Last season's League Two champions took time to adjust to life in League One, losing four of their first five matches and not winning a game until the seventh attempt.
However, the Spireites head to The Valley on Saturday on a three-match winning streak and unbeaten in four games.
"It is great to get 10 points out of a possible 12 and now we face Charlton at the weekend who are top of the league," said Sheridan.
"That will be a good test for us and hopefully if we can carry on what we are doing we will give them a good game.
"I think it is a very evenly-matched league and no-one is better than anyone else, it is all about performing consistently."
