West Ham were made to fight for victory in a thrilling pre-season friendly against Hampton and Richmond Borough.

Alan Curbishley's side eventually ran out 4-2 winners in front of a 3,000 crowd at Beveree Stadium, with Craig Bellamy scoring twice.

Hampton striker Francis Quarm, who works in the IT department at Upton Park, broke the deadlock with a sensational volley after 36 minutes.

Bellamy drew the Hammers level just a minute later after good work from Dean Ashton, before Mark Noble made it 2-1 to the Premier League club.

Julien Faubert set up Bellamy on the hour mark but Laurence Yacu then pulled a goal back with a close-range shot.

The Conference South team continued to push forward but Zavon Hines made the win safe for West Ham nine minutes from time.
