Mandaric: Looking for new boss
Leicester City have confirmed the departure of Martin Allen.
Skysports.com exclusively revealed that Allen was heading for the exit doors at The Walkers Stadium on Wednesday and now he has indeed departed.
The move from chairman Milan Mandaric comes just a matter of months after Allen was appointed as manager.
"Given our respective visions for the football club it was decided that it would be in the best interests if we parted company," Mandaric told the club's website.
"Our main priority now is to focus on our match against Plymouth at Home Park on Saturday and ensure we stay on course for promotion this season."
Mandaric confirmed that there was no replacement already lined-up to take-over from Allen.
"Academy manager Jon Rudkin, coach Steve Beaglehole and goalkeeping coach Mike Stowell will take over first team duties with immediate effect.
"Contrary to media speculation we do not have an immediate replacement.
"The search to appoint a successor now begins."
