Davey: Not happy
Barnsley manager Simon Davey was left bewildered at referee Trevor Kettle's decision to award Stoke an injury-time penalty.
His side were leading the Boxing Day encounter 3-2 going into stoppage time but Kettle adjudged that Tykes striker Kayode Odejayi had pulled Jon Parkin's shirt and pointed to the spot.
Liam Lawrence then converted the penalty to complete his hat-trick and earn the visitors a point.
Davey though felt the decision was a poor one and that his side had been denied the three-points which their performance had deserved.
"I'm speechless. I thought the players had won the game, they deserved to win the game," he said.
"They know they've done enough to win the game. To my mind they have won the game.
"I'm already in trouble so I won't comment on the referee anymore.
"The referee gave two different versions of the penalty. Take what you want from that. One was handball, one was a pull."
Unsurprisingly Stoke manager Tony Pulis saw the incident slightly differently.
"I think he has just given Jon Parkin his shirt back," he joked.
"There's no doubt in my mind but we'll see it on the telly. I think he had Jon around the neck.
"The referee stopped Liam (Lawrence) from taking the free-kick to warn the players to stop pulling and pushing.
"We're disappointed. To score three goals away from home and not win a game of football is disappointing. But obviously we were very, very pleased at the end to get a late penalty.
"We're delighted with the way we came back. Barnsley were in front three times. It showed a lot of character."
