Lafferty: Rangers and Celtic rumours
Burnley manager Owen Coyle has stated that he has every reason to believe striker Kyle Lafferty will still be at Turf Moor come the end of the transfer window.
The Northen Ireland front man has been strongly linked with a move across the border with Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers believed to be the front-runners for the 20-year-old's services.
However, Coyle has faith that Lafferty will remain in the North West - and claims no bid has been accepted from any club.
"We had one bid from Celtic which we rejected but there has been no bid whatsoever from Rangers," Coyle told PA Sport.
"We want Kyle to stay at Burnley because I'm trying to build a squad here, not dismantle it.
"And I'm confident Kyle will still be a Burnley player by the time the transfer window closes tomorrow night."
The Burnley manager also confirmed his interest in signing Galatasaray's Argentina Under 20 international Marcelo Carrusca on loan.
Coyle is hoping he can lure Carrusca over to England after reports that the midfielder is unhappy in Turkey.
"He's not particularly settled in Turkey," Coyle told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"We've been on this for five weeks and we're just hoping that it bears fruit.
"There's been a couple of hiccups but we've tried to iron those out. I can't say that it is going to come off but it won't be for the want of trying."
