Huckerby: MLS move?
Darren Huckerby's agent Phil Smith has confirmed that the striker will be leaving Norwich in the summer.
Huckerby, who is out of contract at the end of the campaign, had been linked with a move to Major League Soccer side Toronto FC during the transfer window and could be poised to make the switch across the Atlantic according to Smith.
The 31-year-old has not had the best of times recently at Carrow Road.
His relationship with new Canaries boss Glenn Roeder has been questioned and he has been blighted by injury.
"He's out of contract at the end of the season and he won't be staying at Norwich. There have been no discussions over a new contract," Smith told the Pink 'Un.
On the possibility of making a move to play in the MLS, he added: "It's an option, certainly. I know he likes the idea of the challenge.
"Darren's shown a lot of respect to Norwich by saying he won't play for another English club, he's being very respectful."
Smith responded when it was suggested that Huckerby may be about to hang up his boots for good: "No, he's not going to be doing a Dennis Wise or anything like that."
Huckerby made his most recent appearance for Norwich briefly in Tuesday night's clash with Southampton.
He is currently four goals short of bagging 50 for the Canaries and nine appearances short of 200.
