Eastwood future uncertain

McCarthy to decide in the summer

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has admitted that Freddy Eastwood's future at the club remains uncertain.

Eastwood has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth following his £1.5million switch from Southend last summer.

The 24-year-old striker has also failed to score for Wolves since he netted a brace last August.

And while McCarthy has been impressed with Eastwood's attitude after a loan move to Coventry collapsed, he confirmed that a decision on his future at Molineux will be made in the summer.

"We spoke with Coventry - I've dealt with that - and I've been pleased with Freddy's reaction over the last few weeks," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"Nothing can happen anyway until the end of the season - Real Madrid could ring me about him and he couldn't go anywhere because the transfer window's shut."
