Horsfield: Blades exit
Veteran striker Geoff Horsfield and experienced goalkeeper Paul Gerrard will leave Sheffield United this summer.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell has already started re-shaping his squad and has told the duo they can depart when their contracts expire.
Horsfield has been out on loan with Scunthorpe since January, while Gerrard agreed a loan switch to Blackpool in the transfer window.
Blackwell has also released youngsters James Ashmore, Martin Donnelly, Stephen Hernandez, Lloyd Kerry and Dean Oliver.
However, Adam Chapman and Kyle Walker have been given professional contracts, while Ryan Cresswell and Liban Abdi have been offered one-year deals.
