Gabor Kiraly admits he is unlikely to return to play in Hungary this summer.

The 32-year-old has been linked with a move back to his hometown club Haladas, who are set to win promotion to the Hungarian First Division.

However, Kiraly feels he is not yet ready to move home.

"Sooner or later I want to sign to Hungary but now it seems that I'll do so later," he told his personal website.

"I think I'm still able to play for the quality of - for example - an English club."

Promotion hope

Kiraly admits he is delighted by Haladas' possible promotion.

"There is a shiver down my spine when I think of Haladas which is close to promotion," he continued.

"I'm crazy for them, this club means everything for me as I'm from Szombathely.

"My dream is to finish my career in Hungary at Haladas but still I feel the desire to play as good football as I can.

"What's more, last year I extended my contract until 2009 with Burnley with one more year option. I would not mind to stay until 2010 as I feel good here.

"The only thing that hurts me is that we couldn't reach the sixth place which was a plan of us at the beginning of the season. Of course, we try to do it next year again."

Relationship

Kiraly finished the season on the bench - but he is happy to compete for his place.

"Since I became a professional this is the first time I have had to sit on the bench when I have not been injured," he said.

"Our manager, Owen Coyle decided that Brian Jensen may be more useful for the team than me.

"I accepted the trainer's decision - just like Andy Cole who played more time as a substitute than a member of the line-up - though he's Andy Cole.

"I have a good relationship with my goalkeeper colleague and we try to help each other in everything."
