Vine: Recovering

Queens Park Rangers striker Rowan Vine is set to return to training as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken leg.

Vine has been given the all-clear by club physio Paul Hunter to begin strength exercises as the 25-year-old targets a return to action in time for the start of next season.

The forward sustained the injury in a training ground accident in April, but following a two-month hospital assessment he has been given the green light.

And Hunter admits he has been impressed by Vine's progress in the past fortnight.

Hunter told the club's official website: "The results showed that both fractures are healing really well, so much so that they've given him the go ahead to resume light running.

"He'll be in for daily double sessions on the trampette and will combine that with the continued strength work he's been doing on his leg.

"He has really kicked on in the last couple of weeks and we're delighted with the progress he is making."
