Cole: 12-month deal
Nottingham Forest have confirmed the free signing of former Sunderland striker Andy Cole.
The 36-year-old was released by the Black Cats at the end of last season and is set to officially sign a 12-month contract at the City Ground next week.
Cole is Forest's fourth signing of the summer as manager Colin Calderwood prepares for next term in the Championship.
The forward, who has also had spells with Newcastle, Manchester United, Blackburn, Fulham, Manchester City and Portsmouth, is second top scorer behind Alan Shearer in the history of the Premier League.
Cole also has Championship experience after scoring six goals in 13 appearances while on loan at Burnley last season.
