Sheffield United defender Ben Starosta has joined Polish club Lechia Gdansk on loan.

The 21-year-old has had a number of loan stints away from Bramall Lane since joining the club in 2005.

He has spent time at Tamworth, Brentford, Bradford and most recently Aldershot.

The Poland Under-20 international is now returning to his homeland for some more first-team experience.

He will stay with Lechia until the end of December before returning to Sheffield United to try and press for a place in Kevin Blackwell's side.

Playing in Poland may also boost his chances of winning a call-up to the senior national team.
