Daniel Jones has joined Oldham on a one-month loan deal, and penned a new contract at Wolves.

The 21-year-old will stay with the Latics until 1st November and will attempt to consolidate their place among the League One pacesetters.

He admits that his long-term future remains at Molineux, but is happy to continue his development at Boundary Park.

Such is his determination to make an impact at Wolves that he signed a new and improved contract on Friday which will keep him at the club until 2010.

Battle

"I'm really pleased to be honest," Jones told the club's official website.

"Getting it all sorted means I can concentrate on my football which is what I want to do.

"The lads have made a fantastic start to the season which has left a lot of us trying to fight our way in.

"The results have been brilliant and the players in the team have done really well."

Impress

Meanwhile, Jones, who enjoyed two successful loan spells with Northampton last season, is excited to be heading back to the third tier with Oldham.

"It did me a great deal of good last season and I just want to play as many games as I can and continue to improve," he added.

"But long term I still see my future at Wolves and that is why I'm happy to have extended my time here.

"I still want to play for Wolves and prove myself here and a loan will just be another chance to go out and get some football and try to impress."
