Eriksson: Linked with Simunovic
Highly-rated Degerfors forward Mario Simunovic has revealed that he will train with Notts County next week, having already spent time with Doncaster.
Notts County have strong links with Swedish football following the appointments of Sven Goran Eriksson as director of football and Hans Backe as manager.
Eriksson and his assistant Tord Grip have both previously had spells in charge of second tier club Degerfors and they are monitoring their players for potential recruits.
20-year-old Simunovic is regarded as an exciting prospect for the future and he claims he will be heading to Meadow Lane for a trial.
He is also waiting to see if Doncaster will pursue their interest after recently being given a chance to impress by the Championship club.
"Things have been going really fast," Simunovic told Karlskoga-Kuriren.
"I will be given a decision if Doncaster want to take this further by Wednesday at latest.
"Regardless of what happens I will be going to Notts County to train. The trial is scheduled to be late next week."
