Ipswich defender Liam Rosenior has backed manager Roy Keane to lead the club on a run up the Championship table.

Rosenior, who was signed by Keane on loan from Reading on transfer deadline day, believes the former Manchester United captain has the full backing of his squad despite their poor start to the season.

Keane has come under fire following Ipswich's disappointing form, but Rosenior believes he is the right man to transform their fortunes

"When you get a well done from Roy Keane you know you've done well," said Rosenior.

"Mentally, he's a very strong man and football's a mental game. You have to be confident and have confidence in your own ability.

"Since I've come here I've realised that I need to make a difference in every game I play. He's willing to back his players and we love playing for him.

"I've seen times when the manager has lost the dressing room and players don't put in performances for the manager, but no-one's seen that here. I think we've been stronger as a unit and that will show in the second half of the season, when we go on a run."
