Soares: Loan switch
Skysports.com understands Sheffield Wednesday are poised to sign Stoke midfielder Tom Soares on loan.
Owls boss Brian Laws is keen to bolster his squad and has lined up a deal for the former Crystal Palace man.
Soares is well down the pecking order at the Britannia Stadium and Potters manager Tony Pulis is willing to send him out on loan so that he can get some valuable match action under his belt
"Tom needs games and is desperate to play, so we just need to find the right club for him," Pulis told the Stoke Sentinel.
Wednesday are believed to have agreed a deal with Stoke to take the midfielder on loan until January.
Wednesday are now hoping to tie up a deal for Soares before the close of the loan window at 5pm on Thursday.
