Chris Coleman insists there have been no approaches for Keiren Westwood and does not believe the Coventry City goalkeeper has been unsettled by speculation about his future.

Westwood has been linked with a January move to Sunderland after previously attracting the interest of fellow Premier League club Everton.

The Republic of Ireland international is regarded as one of the best keepers outside the top flight and Coleman accepts he would seek to secure the right price if an offer comes in.

However, the Sky Blues boss has not received any interest in Westwood and feels the 25-year-old is focused on the job in hand at the Ricoh Arena.

Not unsettling

"That's been going on for a while and he's been linked with them and other clubs along with Aron Gunnarsson and Leon Best, all the usual suspects, but I have not had any conversations," Coleman said in the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

"If a club is going to come in from the Premier League, we know the drill. We don't want to sell any of them, but if they want to go and the clubs are that desperate for them then we will have to get the best price for Coventry City. That's just the way it works at every club outside the Premier League.

"If the big boys want to get your players they come and get them. That's how football is these days, but there has been no conversation between me and any other club about any of our players.

"That's not to say something won't happen; it may do, I hope it doesn't, but we will have to wait and see.

"It is not something that has come out of the blue, so it's not unsettling for Keiren."
