Nottingham Forest defender Brendan Moloney has returned from his loan spell at city rivals Notts County.

The right-back made the short trip to Meadow Lane in the summer and the 4-1 win at Burton Albion on 28th December was his last appearance for the club.

The Magpies were keen to keep Moloney but, being unable to afford to buy the 20-year-old outright, Forest are keen to aid the player's development by loaning him to a club in a higher division than League Two.

Moloney made 19 league and cup appearances for County scoring his only goal for the club on his debut in the 5-0 rout of Bradford on the opening day of the season.
