Tamas Priskin claims reports suggesting he is set for an imminent exit from Ipswich are wide of the mark.

The Hungarian frontman has become the subject of mounting speculation after struggling to hold down regular first-team football at Portman Road.

The 23-year-old only joined Ipswich from Championship rivals Watford over the summer, but that has done little to dampen the rumours.

It is said that Town boss Roy Keane is looking to cash in on the Czech-born striker in order to fund a move for Derby hit-man Rob Hulse.

However, Priskin insists he is more than happy to fight for a starting berth at Ipswich and has expressed no desire to move on.

"I've just read about these rumours in the press," he told Nemzeti Sport.

Working hard

"If I had the chance to decide, then I wouldn't go anywhere."

He added: "My season has not gone entirely as planned. I haven't played regularly and I haven't scored enough goals.

"At Watford last year I was a member of the starting line-up on 30 occasions and this season at Ipswich I have started only nine times.

"But I am working hard to change this situation.

"I have a normal working relationship with Roy Keane. He was a superb footballer and he has the same 'I want to win' mentality as a manager too."
