Crystal Palace administrator Brendan Guilfoyle remains confident the Championship's long-term future will be resolved shortly.

The deadline for investors to buy the debt-ridden club expired on Friday, a date that was extended to give parties more time to formulate bids.

It remains unclear whether an offer is on the table for Palace with Guilfoyle stating talks are at a delicate stage.

The Eagles are reportedly in around £30million worth of debt and Guilfoyle has already warned they cannot be financed at the end of the season.

"This deadline was always a real one as once the season comes to its conclusion monies will need to be found," said Guilfoyle.

"I needed to be in this position as I didn't want to start looking at the alternatives.

"Discussions are at a delicate stage and I am not in a position where I can expand on where we stand at this current time, but remain positive that the club's future will be resolved shortly."
