Estonia international Tarmo Kink is set to join Middlesbrough subject to a medical, according to his agent.

The left-sided forward currently plays in the Hungarian top flight for Gyori ETO, but he has been linked with a move to The Riverside for several weeks.

Kink has previously confessed that he is flattered by the speculation regarding Gordon Strachan's Middlesbrough and his agent, Jozsef Kiss, now claims that a transfer is close to completion.

The 24-year-old will play for Gyori in their Europa League second qualifying round second leg against FK Atyrau on Thursday and he is then expected to finalise a move to Teesside on Friday.

Hard tests

"A representative from the English club will arrive at Gyori for the second tie against Atyrau in the Europa League on Thursday," Kiss told Gyori's official website.

"Tarmo Kink will fly to Middlesbrough for the first time on Friday and he'll stay there until next Tuesday.

"He'll have to pass hard psychological, physical and medical tests, so a club representative will go with him.

"We've agreed on the conditions (of the transfer), if they find everything is fine then hopefully there'll be nothing against his club transfer."

Kink's arrival would follow midfielder Kevin Thomson Andy Halliday, Kris Boyd, Nicky Bailey and Stephen McManus this summer.
