Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric has suggested the club could sign as many as four new players before the transfer window closes.

The Foxes have secured just the one acquisition so far this summer, landing Miguel Vitor on a season-long loan from Benfica.

Leicester failed to achieve promotion from the Championship last season after losing in the play-off semi-finals on penalties against Cardiff City.

"We are assembling a good team and we still have two, three or maybe four players to come on board during August," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury.

"There is obviously a need for investment in the players and he (Sousa) will get that money.

"The manager is looking for certain players to buy but also players to bring in on loan or who are on frees.

"We have to make sure we don't waste money. We will not throw it away."
