Leicester have completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Moreno from Vitoria Guimaraes for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old had been linked with a move to the Walkers Stadium since fellow countryman Paulo Sousa became manager a month ago.

Moreno, who was also wanted by Hull City, claimed he was close to a move earlier on Thursday and he has now become Sousa's third signing after the arrival of Benfica loanee Miguel Vitor and striker Leon Crncic.

Sousa told the club's official website: "Moreno is a player with a lot of experience at the top level of Portuguese football and he will give us another dimension.

"He is a strong player and can play as either a defender or in the midfield. I am pleased we have been able to sign him."
