Millwall's on-loan striker Kevin Lisbie insists that his future lies away from parent club Ipswich Town.

The former Jamaican international joined the Lions on a season-long loan over the summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by Portman Road boss Roy Keane.

The 31-year-old is enjoying a new lease of life after a stale period with the Tractor Boys and he told skysports.com that he believes he has played his last game for Ipswich.

"If I was a betting man then I would probably bet everything that I won't be at Ipswich next season," he admitted.

Important

"I don't think that it is a case of proving myself to the Ipswich manager, but more of a chance to prove something to myself and obviously other clubs out there because after this year I'm going to be available on a free transfer.

"It is an important season for me here and I am determined to play as well as I can and score as many goals as I can to help this club get as high as it can.

"Ipswich was a good move for me at the time because the chance to move to a solid Championship club was too good to resist, but sometimes it just doesn't work out for players at certain clubs and Ipswich is one of those clubs for me.

"It has always been my destiny to leave Ipswich and I am just grateful that I have been given the chance to come here and play some regular football again."
