Ipswich Town chief executive Simon Clegg has praised Roy Keane's management style, despite calling him a 'demanding' individual.

The Tractor Boys boss has guided his team to two wins and a draw in the Championship so far this term in his second season in charge.

Keane sold former captain Jon Walters to Stoke last week after falling out with the striker, while Pablo Counago has been sent out to Crystal Palace on loan.

But despite his unpredictable style of management, Clegg has praised Keane and insists the owners of the club still have a good relationship with the coach.

He said: "We have always recognised Roy to be a demanding individual but flare-ups - if we call them that - occur at clubs all over the country.

"It is not something confined to Portman Road. Make no mistake, Roy is a very demanding man who is driven by success.

"He wants 110% effort from his players all the while - and that includes every day in training. If not he will make it very clear to the players their shortcomings.

"Recent events have not affected the owner's relationship with Roy - absolutely not.

"He remains hugely supportive and there is no problem with the way the three of us work together."
