Millwall's on-loan striker Kevin Lisbie insists that no-one is getting carried away by their impressive start to life in the Championship just yet.

The Lions made the step up from League One and have secured three wins from their first four games of the season, including victories over much-fancied Bristol City and Hull City.

However, the former Jamaica international, who is on a season-long loan from Ipswich, told skysports.com that nothing has been achieved just yet.

"There is still a hell of along way to go and although it is a bit of a cliche we really are just taking it one game at a time," he admitted.

"We've had some great results so far, but they won't count for much if we don't win another game this season."

Difficult

The Lions recovered from their 3-1 defeat at Leeds with a Carling Cup win over Middlesbrough and then another three-point Championship haul against Coventry ahead of Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest.

"We'd like to keep this unbeaten run going, but we have got a difficult trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday. If we can come back with our unbeaten run intact then we will be more than happy," Lisbie added.

The experienced striker netted his first goal for the Lions in last month's 4-0 thrashing of Hull and he believes the fact that the likes of midfielders Liam Trotter and Danny Schofield have also found the net this season has eased the burden on the front men.

"Everyone seems to have helped by chipping in with goals, which obviously takes the pressure off myself and the other strikers a little bit, but it was nice to get my first for the club against Hull and hopefully there is a few more in the tank," he said.

"It has been a real team effort in front of goal so far and long may it continue. We have got a good mixture of young players and seasoned professionals here and I am very confident that this bunch of lads can have a very good season together."
