McCormack: Over injury problems
Ross McCormack hopes a hat-trick for Leeds' reserves will kick-start his career at Elland Road.
The 24-year-old forward has struggled for fitness since joining the Whites from Cardiff over the summer.
His arrival was greeted with optimism, with his goalscoring exploits in Wales marking him out as a proven Championship performer.
He has, however, only recently returned from a month-long spell on the sidelines and is yet to make his mark with his new employers.
McCormack is determined to right that wrong, though, and feels a treble against Hull City on Tuesday will stand him in good stead heading forward.
"It was good, it was just what I needed," he told the club's official website.
"I'm still not feeling 100 per cent, but that will come with getting games. I got stronger towards the end.
"It's been frustrating, coming from Cardiff I want to make an impression and I haven't been able to do that. Hopefully last night I did."
