Birmingham could be ready to offer former Arsenal youngster Quincy Owusu Abeyie a return to England.

Owusu Abeyie currently plies his trade in Russia with Spartak Moscow after leaving Arsenal in January 2006.

Steve Bruce is believed to be a fan of the Dutch forward and would like to bring him to St Andrews as he prepares for life back in the top flight next season.

Owusu Abeyie's agent Brian Berkleef claims the player is flattered by Birmingham's interest and would be happy to move back to England.

"He is pleased Birmingham are interested in him," Berkleef told the News of the World.

"He would gladly return to England."
