Kilkenny: Move on hold
Oldham Athletic are still waiting to complete the loan signing of Neil Kilkenny from Birmingham City.
The League One club have agreed a deal to bring the midfielder back for a second spell at Boundary Park.
But the loan deal has hinged on Blues completing the signing of Hossam Ghaly from Tottenham Hotspur, which was originally held up due to the wait for a work permit.
Birmingham, though, have now ditched the transfer completely, citing 'footballing reasons' for pulling the plug on the deal.
That has left Oldham's bid for Kilkenny up in the air after the player was summoned back to St Andrews by Steve Bruce.
Kilkenny had trained with Oldham on Friday morning, but will now have to wait to see if he is allowed to finalise a loan move before the start of the season.
