Johnson: Personal problems

Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv are set to sign AIK star Dulee Johnson.

Birmingham City had an offer for the Liberia international rebuffed in January, but the midfielder's personal problems have forced the Swedish club to reduce the price tag they placed on the player.

The 23-year-old recently lost his driving licence due to drink driving.

The midfielder joined the Israeli club on their tour of Holland on Friday for a medical and to discuss his personal terms.

"I can confirm that Dulee is visiting them, what it will lead to, we will see," stated AIK sports director Olan Andersson to Sportbladet.

"He has gone there to get familiar with the environment and discuss his personal contract.

"All interested clubs are aware of the problems he has had. It's obvious that it has affected the price."
