Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has revealed that there have not been any enquiries yet for veteran duo Kevin Phillips and Lee Carsley.

The veteran pair have found first-team opportunities limited this term and could be tempted to move on in January in search of regular football.

While McLeish would like to keep the duo until the end of the season, he would understand if they wanted leave in the New Year.

But the Blues boss has revealed there has not been any interest in the pair yet.

McLeish, whose side entertain West Ham on Saturday, said: "There have not been any enquiries for Kevin and Lee. They are great characters in the squad.

"The only way we would consider letting guys like that leave is if it was good for them. That would be the only reason they would leave Birmingham - but they are good players.

Infectious

"They're around the squad just now and are infectious and rub off on the other players.

"You saw Lee come on against Liverpool and he did a great job for us and Kevin came on in the Bolton game and looked back to his brightest again.

"They have still got something to offer."

Phillips has recovered from a foot injury and is likely to be on the substitutes' bench to face the Hammers.
