Wrexham snap up keeper

Wrexham have snapped up Sunderland goalkeeper Michael Ingham.

The Black Cats shot-stopper was thrust into the spotlight towards the end of their championship-winning season when Thomas Myhre joined Mart Poom on the injured list.

Ingham was beaten twice at Reading as Sunderland suffered a rare home reverse and also featured in the 2-2 draw at Ipswich Town.

The 24-year-old will officially join Wrexham, who were relegated from League One this term, once his contract is up at The Stadium of Light.

After spending time on loan at The Racecourse Ground in 2003/2004, Ingham will be back in familiar surroundings but he almost joined Coventry City on deadline day this year.
