Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn admits the club's recent form has been disappointing but is refusing to press the panic button.

Black Cats boss Roy Keane has conceded this week that the pressure is building on him, following a miserable set of results over the past couple of weeks.

On Friday some bookmakers suspended betting on Keane being the next Premier League manager to leave his post, amid a storm of rumours with regards the Irishman's future.

Quinn, though, insists he is unequivocal in his support of Keane and that everyone at the club is united in trying to reverse the current situation.

"We'll take the knockbacks and will look to respond with determination," said Quinn.

"Everyone here is fully committed to what we are trying to achieve and despite some of the wind being knocked out of our sails lately, we can see a lot of positives."
