Bruce: Bolton trip
New Sunderland manager Steve Bruce takes his side to Bolton on the opening day of the Premier League season.
The Black Cats travel to the Reebok Stadium on 15th August before welcoming Chelsea to the Stadium of Light three days later.
A trip to Bruce's former club Manchester United is scheduled for 3rd October before Liverpool travel to the North East in the following fixture.
The year ends with a Boxing Day clash at home to Everton before Bruce's side travel to Blackburn in the final game of 2009.
Other notable matches include Chelsea away (16th January), Arsenal away (20th February), and Liverpool at Anfield (27th March).
The season concludes with a visit from Manchester United on 1st May before a trip to new-boys Wolves on the final day of the campaign.
