Ferrie Bodde did not travel to Sweden with the rest of his team-mates for Swansea's pre-season trip.

The Dutch midfielder has been the subject of intense transfer speculation and he has stated his desire to leave the club.

Derby have seen three bids shunned by the Swans and the Rams have now insisted they are looking elsewhere.

Swansea want £2million for Bodde' services, a figure which Derby boss Paul Jewell is seemingly unwilling to offer.

Middlesbrough and West Brom have also been linked with the player, but it is understood their interest at the moment is nothing more than tentative.

Despite missing the official flight, Bodde is expected to join up with the club later in the week.

A Swansea spokesman said: "Ferrie Bodde went back home to Holland for personal reasons on Sunday and is due to join up with the rest of the squad in Sweden on Monday."
