Ellington: On target for Derby

Bristol City were held to a 2-2 by SC Olhanense in Portugal, while there were wins for Derby, Wolves and Sheffield United.

Olhanense, who play in the Portuguese second tier, opened the scoring against Bristol City in the 11th minute thanks to a fine individual effort from Castro.

Steve Brooker equalised seven minutes later, only for Djalmir to give Olhanense the edge again at 2-1 before the break.

City salvaged a draw on 49 minutes when Jennison Myrie-Williams headed home Ivan Sproule's cross.

Derby cruised to a 2-0 victory over Burton Albion to boost confidence ahead of the Championship campaign.

Steve Davies fired the Rams into an early lead when he struck after 17 minutes and Nathan Ellington added an excellent second six minutes before half-time.

Wolves survived a fright against Hereford after Steve Guinan had put the League One side ahead from the penalty spot on 15 minutes.

Michael Kightly levelled the scores and Stephen Ward then bagged a brace in the second half to secure a 3-1 win for Wolves.

Csaba Laszlo's Hearts suffered a second successive defeat as Dunfermline won an all-Scottish affair 1-0.

Kevin Harper latched on to Stephen Glass' cross after 23 minutes to net the crucial goal, despite Lee Wallace's attempts to clear.

Rangers came from behind to see off German minnows Lotte 3-1 in a low-key friendly.

Dennis Rommel put Lotte ahead after five minutes but Kris Boyd levelled for Rangers in the 70th minute and then scored again just a minute later.

Debutant Andrius Velicka then set up John Fleck for a third as Rangers ran out convincing winners.

Billy Sharp, Danny Webber and David Carney found the target as Sheffield United beat Bekgian outfit KVK Tienen 3-1.

Chris McCann and Jay Rodriguez both netted in the final ten minutes as Burnley concluded their tour of America with a 2-0 victory over Minnesota Thunder.
