Queens Park Rangers have added Rob Hulse and Tommy Smith to their ranks on transfer deadline day.

Neil Warnock's ambitious outfit are determined to build on a positive start to the season which sees them sit top of the Championship.

In order to maintain that momentum, it was decided that further recruits were required to add extra quality and competition for places.

With that in mind, Warnock has pushed through a deal for Derby striker Hulse, who has a proven record in the Football League.

The 30-year-old, who moves to Loftus Road for an undisclosed fee, has penned a three-year contract.

Experience

Rangers were able to tempt the Rams into a sale as Hulse's contract at Pride Park was due to expire at the end of the season.

With one signing wrapped up, Warnock has also been able to bring in experienced midfielder Smith from Portsmouth.

The 30-year-old winger has passed a medical in the capital and put pen to paper on a three-year deal.

It is believed that the former Watford man cost Rangers around £1.5million.
