Skysports.com understands Preston are poised to sign Blackburn winger Keith Treacy.

Preston boss Darren Ferguson is keen to reshape his squad at Deepdale and he has lined up a deal for Treacy.

Treacy had a spell out on loan at Sheffield United earlier this season and he impressed at Bramall Lane before returning to Ewood Park.

Ferguson is now ready to take the Irishman to Preston, with Blackburn prepared to sell the 21-year-old.

Talks are thought to be at an advanced stage and Treacy is set to become Ferguson's second signing of the transfer window following the arrival of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United.
