Skysports.com understands Preston are lining up a move for Leicester defender Wayne Brown.

North End boss Darren Ferguson is in the market for defensive reinforcements and he is hoping to lure Brown to Deepdale.

Leicester are believed to be willing to let Brown leave on a free transfer and the Lilywhites are ready to snap him up.

The 32-year-old centre-back has a wealth of experience and Ferguson sees Brown as being a valuable addition to his young squad.

Brown has previous experience of playing for Preston having enjoyed a spell on loan at the club in 2008 and it seems he could set for a return to the Championship outfit.
