Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson has not ruled out making a second bid for Preston midfielder Paul Coutts.
Posh had an initial bid for the 23-year-old Scot rejected by the League One side over the weekend.
"We've enquired about Paul and at the moment we've left it at that," Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
"He's a very good player and has definitely improved. He'd give us height and pace and is a good passer of the ball."
