Preston's attempts to sign Keammar Daley after his successful trial are being threatened by a late bid from a Vietnamese team.

The 23-year-old has been offered a deal after he impressed during pre-season which will be completed subject to a work permit being granted.

However, the Jamaica international is attracting attention from an unknown team from Asia which has complicated the League One club's potential deal.

But manager Phil Brown is hopeful the striker will arrive in Lancashire soon.

Changed

"A club over there have come along and changed the deal so to speak," Brown told the Lancashire Evening Post.

"We are still trying to get him in, but we are finding it more difficult - not from our end, but from the other end.

"When a third club comes in, sometimes the player doesn't have a say if finance is involved.

"We have talked to Keammar and he is very interested about coming to Preston."
