Preston striker Jamie Proctor is aiming to fire his hometown club back into the Championship at the first attempt.

The 19-year-old scored the only goal of the game during Saturday's 1-0 victory over Exeter as North End stretched their unbeaten run to four matches.

Proctor has been at Deepdale since he was seven and admits he is desperate to help the club to promotion from League One.

He said: "As a Preston fan, relegation hit me hard.

"Now I'm in the team, the aim is to get us back to where we should be. There's no way a club this size should be in this division."
