Leeds United will host Manchester United in the Carling Cup in the most anticipated draw of the third round.

The last time the two old foes met was in the FA Cup in January 2010, when Leeds heroically beat their Premier League counterparts 1-0 at Old Trafford.

One of four all-Premier League ties of the round pits Chelsea with Fulham at Stamford Bridge while Everton host West Brom at Goodison Park.

At the Britannia Stadium, Stoke will take on Tottenham, with Aston Villa at home to Bolton completing the list of duels between top tier clubs.

Holders Birmingham will have to defend their title the hard way, as they travel to big-spenders Manchester City.

Liverpool face a difficult trip to Gus Poyet's high-flying Brighton, Wolves welcome Millwall and Newcastle travel to the City Ground to take on Steve McClaren's Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal welcome League Two side Shrewsbury Town and Championship duo Cardiff and Leicester meet in the Welsh capital.

Blackburn, who knocked out Sheffield Wednesday in round two, have been handed lower league opposition at home once more but must wait for the outcome of Leyton Orient and Bristol Rovers.

Crystal Palace will host the winner of Wigan and Middlesbrough, Burnley host Milton Keynes Dons and the winner of Aldershot and Carlisle will host giant-killers Rochdale, who conquered Queens Park Rangers in Loftus Road in the second round.

Finally, either Swindon or Southampton will host the winner of Charlton and Preston, with all third-round ties to be played week commencing 19th September.
