WEST BROM manager Gary Megson says that Jason Roberts has only attracted interest from clubs wanting him on loan, and is not willing to let him leave on a temporary basis.
Roberts has been placed on the transfer at his own request after revealing his desire to leave The Hawthorns.
The Grenada international is keen to stay in the top flight following the club's relegation season last term, but has not had many enquiries.
Megson says that the only offers he has had for Roberts have been for a loan deal, as no club seems prepared to shell out the £2.1 million asking price.
"They want him but not on a permanent basis, and that won't happen," said Megson.
"I have four other strikers who want to stay with Albion, and there is Jason who does not want to stay."
