Luton Town have swooped to sign former West Bromwich Albion defender Chris Perry on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old was released by The Baggies at the end of last season and has now agreed a two-year deal to move to Kenilworth Road.
Perry fits the profile of the kind of player Kevin Blackwell is looking to sign for The Hatters as he boasts vast experience in English football.
The defender began his career with Wimbledon in 1991, and moved to Tottenham for £4million in 1999 before spells at Charlton and Albion.
"I was contacted over the last couple of days by my agent saying that Kevin Blackwell wanted to sign me at Luton," Perry told the club's official website.
"I was very interested about the move and when I spoke to Kevin he was very positive about the future and the direction the club are looking to take.
"He basically persuaded me to sign. I was impressed in general by the overall outlook of the club and I think they have a very good chance of returning to the Championship next season."
Perry becomes Luton's fifth signing of the summer after Alan Goodall, David Edwards, Darren Currie and Paul Furlong.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Marlon Beresford, Sol Davis and Adam Boyd have all been made available for transfer by Luton.
