Roman Bednar has admitted that he would be interested in joining West Brom on a permanent basis.

The Czech striker has just spent a season-long loan at with the Baggies from SPL side Hearts.

His goals have been vital in firing the club to the Championship title, and a place in the Premier League, and he admits that he would like to stay.

However, despite both parties being keen to strike a deal, Bednar revealed that the club are yet to make him an offer which satisfies his demands.

Proven

"The terms at present are not acceptable," he told Sport.

"I have also heard that the club are unlikely to offer me a deal which would satisfy me.

"I think that, considering I have struggled with injury for the last two years, I have performed well, have been scoring goals and therefore have proved my worth.

"I want the talks to reflect that. I hope that they will respect what I have done for the club this year."

Good impression

Bednar is adamant that he will not be returning to Scotland this summer, and is refusing to give up hope on reaching an agreement at the Hawthorns.

"It is a question if I will stay at West Brom or move elsewhere," he added.

"I think I have made a good impression so far, I am happy here and people like me here.

"I would like to stay, but we will see."

Interest

Bednar's agent Pavel Zika also made it clear that he hopes to strike a deal for his client with the Baggies.

"It is unlikely that Roman will move anywhere else over the summer," he said.

"It is clear though that he will need some improvement in the terms of his contract.

"We are ready to hold talks with the club management and I believe that they will agree on new terms.

"If not, there is plenty of interest from elsewhere. Scoring 17 goals has created a lot of response, and I think West Brom would be making a mistake if they let him go."
